Why Poonam Kaur is making political statements. The political situation in Andhra Pradesh is hot and turbulent and many seasoned politicians and even national parties like BJP and Congress are treading carefully so as not to be on the wrong side of the wicket.

While many Tollywood celebrities are maintaining strategic silence over the arrest of Chandra Babu Naidu by the ruling dispensation in the state headed by Jagan Mohan Reddy, few have made their stand clear and they include Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. Balakrishna being TDP MLA came in support of TDP and personalities like Raghavendra Rao and Aswini Dutt also made their voice clear.

In the midst of all this, Poonam Kaur suddenly came up with a statement that few selfish politicians are trying to use her name politically and asked them not to do it. She said she is busy promoting Handalooms across the nation as the brand ambassador and in the process she came in touch with various politicians. She said if she decides to take a political plunge, she will update it officially and asked others to restrain from spreading rumours.

But Poonam's timing is surprising all as no one spoke about her be it YSRCP or TDP and other parties. Till sometime back, YSRCP used to target Pawan kalyan using Poonam name, and even Poonam used to enjoy the limelight and came up with cryptic posts on social media. It seems since no one is using her name and for the fear of losing the limelight and media attention, she came up with such a statement at this crucial time.
