Story Review

Two Souls story is all about love, breakup, and emotions related to it between two persons when they are met with a fatal accident. Akhil (Trinadh Varma) is completely lost and heartbroken after losing his mother and girlfriend Priya (Mounika Reddy). He decides to end his life by committing suicide. But he fails in his mission and ends up in the Hospital.

As he battles for his life, his soul comes in touch with a girl, who introduces herself as Priya. To find out where this leads to and how it is connected to Roopa (Bhavana Sagi) and what role his friend Revanth (Ravi Teja Mahadasyam) plays form the rest of the story.

Artists Review

Trinadh Varma tried his best as a person who is heartbroken after being ditched by his lady love. He showed emotions and expressions showing frustration and suicidal tendencies.

Bhavana Sagi in the role of Roopa and as the person who converses with Trinadh and instils confidence did well. They tried to carry the entire film on their shoulders and they should be commended for their sincere effort.

Ravi Teja played the role of the friend quite well. He made his presence felt with good dialogue. Mounika Reddy got limited screen presence and she is ok with her performance. Others performed according to their roles.

Technicians Review

Sharavan Kumar selected story, "Two Souls," is a heartfelt and moving romantic comedy. With the sentimental love story, he attempted to make a hit by appealing to the viewers' tender side. He gets good results during the opening moments between the protagonist and his friend as he begins the narration in an engaging way.

Sharavan Kumar pleasantly surprises in the second half, just when everyone starts to lose faith in the movie's outcome. As the narration moves along, the second half loses interest because there aren't many interactions between the lead couple.

The film was redeemed by director Sharavan Kumar, who demonstrated his potential with a few powerful conversation and scene sequences throughout the pre-climax and climax. All of the factors, both favourable and bad, had an impact on the result.

Pratik Abhayankar's music has a heartfelt, situational feel to it. A few tracks were expertly filmed in beautiful settings. The songs have melodic melodies. Anand Nambiar enhanced the scenes with his background music, drawing viewers into the narrative. The film's natural and picturesque settings are captured by Sashank Sriram's fascinating cinematography. The way he depicted Sikkim's beauty and tranquilly strikes everyone's soul and transports them to another realm.

There was plenty of opportunity for improvement in Shravan's editing. The dialogues are alright, and a few of them are both thought-provoking and emotionally moving. Parama Krishna Pictures & Creations has high production quality.

Rating Analysis

Altogether, Two Souls turns out to be ok. Director Sharavan Kumar though selected a good idea, failed in his execution with the routine story, confusing at times, and lost the essence. With just two characters appearing most of the time and who at most of the time, delivering repetitive dialogues and acting either hyperactive or completely subdued. Had Sharavan Kumar fine-tuned the story and screenplay for the major part of the narration and included a few twists and turns along with the entertainment quotient, the impact would have been different. Considering all these points, Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 rating for Two Souls.

Punchline: Two Souls: Requires a little Soul Searching.
