Jaanu Trailer: Recreates 96 Magic

96 that starred Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha was termed as a classic for genuineness in the story and the narration. Dil Raju took a brave decision to remake the film with Sharwanand and Samantha in leads. Trailer of the Telugu version titled Jaanu is out.

Revolving around two classmates, the trailer starts with Sharwa’s voiceover depicting his willingness to meet his old girlfriend another time. We’re introduced to Ram and Jaanu as school students. We’re then shown Sharwa and Sam as grown-ups, meeting after many years in a school reunion event.

The trailer then jumps back and forth in time showing us the kind of relationship that Ram and Jaanu shared as school students to what happens when they meet after a long gap. With their intriguing screen presence and subtle, goofy behavior, Sharwa and Sam establish an exceptional chemistry.

Director C Prem Kumar seems to have succeeded in recreating 96 magic. The background score is fascinating and it perfectly complements the visuals.

Jaanu is scheduled for release on February 7th.
