Women Power This Week

In the present times, a long weekend is a blessing for any movie maker to release their movies. In fact, we have seen several biggies releasing on a same day during long week-ends or festive season. But ironically, this week we see only one Telugu movie Bhaagamathie hitting the theatres during this long weekend. And in Bollywood, Padmaavat is enjoying a single release this weekend.

Earlier, several movies like Achari America Yatra and Manasuku Nachindhi have planned the release during the long weekend but for some unknown reasons, they postponed their release dates at the last minute. Anushka’s Bhaagamathie will now enjoy a long holiday and is expected to become a HIT even if it gets an average date.

Similarly, in Bollywood, Akshay Kumar’s Padman was announced earlier to release during the Republic day but postponed the release date at the last minute. Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat will now enjoy the holiday weekend and is expected to create big numbers in terms of openings.

For sure, we will see women power in theatres this week as both the movies have Anushka and Deepika Padukone in lead roles.
