Director Shankar used these dancing skills to make Prabhu an actor and then his passion towards direction made Prabhu a good director in South. Once he forayed into Bollywood, surely the knack of picking up mass masala hit subjects of South for Hindi remakes helped Prabhu to settle down.

Entry of Rajamouli with ‘Maakhi’ and building of pressure on him to make a direct Bollywood film along with Jayam Raja eager to direct Akshay Kumar with remake subject of ‘Ramana/Tagore’ are posing threats to Prabhu’s position in B-town. If few more Tamil and Telugu directors take the same path of going to Mumbai with remake scripts, that might be the end to Prabhu.
