Mahesh Babu’s latest clean shaven appearance has taken social media by storm after the Superstar was spotted at Hyderabad airport. The actor had maintained long hair and a heavy beard for Varanasi for more than a year. His return to a classic, stylish look has triggered massive excitement among fans.

The new appearance comes soon after reports that Mahesh has completed his major portions for SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi. Earlier reports indicated that more than 90% of the film had been filmed, with the actor also beginning dubbing. Fans are now linking his changed appearance to the completion of his principal work.

Varanasi stars Mahesh Babu as Rudhra alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The globetrotting action adventure incorporates mythology and time travel elements, with Mahesh also confirmed to portray Lord Rama in one episode. Rajamouli has said the major spectacle action sequences are already complete.

With the remaining patchwork expected to conclude soon, Varanasi is simultaneously moving through editing, background score and VFX work. MM Keeravani is handling the music, while multiple teams are working on visual effects. The film remains scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027, promising a large scale cinematic experience.
