Minors Denied Entry To The Paradise At Hyderabad Theatre
Nani’s The Paradise faced an unexpected situation at TNR Northcity Mall & Multiplex in Suchitra, Hyderabad, on its opening day. Several minors who had booked tickets were reportedly denied entry because the film carries an adults only ‘A’ certificate. Booking platforms also clearly display the 18+ age restriction.
According to reports, the situation led to arguments between the theatre management and the parents of the minors. Police were called after the disagreement escalated, with around ten parents reportedly seeking refunds. Pet Bashirabad police reached the venue and intervened, following which the ticket amounts were reportedly refunded.
The Paradise received an ‘A’ certificate from the CBFC because of its intense violence and mature content. The certification legally restricts theatrical admission to adults, while the film’s official booking listings identify it as ‘A’ or adults only. Parents should therefore check certification and age restrictions before purchasing tickets for minors.
The incident reportedly caused a delay to the 7:30 PM screening at the multiplex before the situation was resolved. The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela and starring Nani, features a raw period action setting and a runtime of around 2 hours 54 minutes. The CBFC also required multiple changes involving violence and dialogue.
