Ramayana Movie Promotion Budget Hits 375 Crore

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is shaping up as Indian cinema’s most ambitious project. Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana, the two-part epic is targeting global audiences. Reports say makers will spend around ₹375 crore only on worldwide promotions before release.
Sony Pictures has reportedly partnered for global distribution and will invest nearly ₹235 crore for international marketing. Producers are adding another ₹140 crore. This makes Ramayana’s promotions spend the biggest in Indian film history, following a Hollywood-style release model across 20+ languages and IMAX formats.
To position Ramayana internationally, makers showcased footage at San Diego Comic-Con. The film features VFX by DNEG, IMAX release, and music by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer together. This global music and tech collaboration is raising expectations among both Indian and overseas audiences.
The trailer delay has only increased buzz. Analysts say the massive promo push aims to introduce the Indian epic to new markets. With Sony backing and a record marketing budget, Ramayana could set a new benchmark. Final results will depend on audience response after release.
