Naga Chaitanya Wins Court Order To Protect Name And Image

Actor Naga Chaitanya got legal help from the Delhi High Court to protect his name and image. The court gave an interim order that stops others from using his photos, voice, and name without his OK. Justice Jyoti Singh heard the case and sent notices to many digital sites and people named in the plea. The actor’s team said his pictures were used on bad websites and his name was seen on fake items for sale. Many AI made videos and photos with his face were also shared online. The court said such use can harm his image and private life. It told all platforms to remove such content and not allow it again without his clear permission.
This step is now common for stars in the AI age. Many actors are going to court to stop deepfakes and fake ads using their face. Before Naga Chaitanya, his father Nagarjuna also got the same kind of court order. Allu Arjun got a legal shield in April against deepfake videos and fake promotions. NTR got personality rights in January to stop misuse of his photos and voice. Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff also got similar orders from courts earlier. These rights stop people from making money using a star’s name, face, or voice without a deal.
The rise of AI tools has made it easy to copy a face or voice in seconds. Fans and brands must be careful with such content. Courts are now quick to act when a star’s image is used in a wrong way. Personality rights cover name, photo, voice, and style. They help stop fake ads, deepfake videos, and items sold without a license.
Naga Chaitanya’s case shows that more actors will take this path to keep control of their image. With this order, he joins a growing list of South and Hindi stars who now have legal cover in the digital world.
