Asian Cinemas wants to bring young people back to theatres. The big South Indian chain has a new plan for Gen Z. Future cinemas will not be only for movies. They will also have cafes, comedy halls, and work zones. People can sit and work in IT zones inside the theatre complex. There will be stand up comedy shows too. The goal is to make theatres a fun place to hang out, not just a spot to watch films.

The company will start healthy food options with the film Peddi. Audiences can choose low carb meals, high protein food, vegan items, and Jain food. Many young viewers now want better food at cinemas. Normal popcorn and cola will still be there. But new healthy choices will be added to the menu. This is a big change for Indian theatres. Asian Cinemas wants to give more value to movie goers. The chain is also testing digital ordering and quick pick up counters to reduce wait time.

Asian Cinemas started in 2011 in Hyderabad. Today it has more than 150 screens mostly in Telangana. It runs top spots like AMB Cinemas and AAA Cinemas. The company works with big stars to build premium halls. Now it plans to add gaming zones and podcast rooms in some locations. Ticket prices may have flexible plans for students and working people. The company feels Gen Z wants more than just a film.

OTT platforms are strong now. So theatres must give new reasons to step out. Asian Cinemas believes social spaces will help. Work zones, comedy halls, and healthy food can make movie halls a full day plan. If this works, other chains may follow the same model. The first new style complex may open by the end of 2026. Peddi will be the first film to get the new food menu.
