Jetlee Heads to JioHotstar After Slow Theatrical Run

Satya’s comedy film Jetlee is ready for its OTT release. The movie will stream on JioHotstar from May 25, 2026. Directed by Ritesh Rana, Jetlee hit theatres on May 1, 2026. The film did not do well at the box office. Now the makers hope it will reach more people online. This is Satya’s first movie as a lead hero. He is known for funny roles in many hit films. Fans had high hopes because of the unique story and fun trailer.

The story of Jetlee is set fully inside an airplane. Satya plays a common man who gets caught in a crazy situation mid flight. The film mixes action and comedy. It has many laugh out loud moments and twists. Mythri Movie Makers produced the film on a budget of around 12 to 15 crores. Kaala Bhairava gave the music. The film has good production quality and fresh visuals. But it could not pull crowds to theatres. The total box office collection was below 4 crores worldwide. The theatrical recovery was very low for the makers.

JioHotstar has bought the digital rights for a decent price. Reports say the OTT deal helped the producers recover a good part of the budget. Only the Telugu version will stream from May 25. There is no news yet on Hindi or other dubbed versions.

With the OTT release, Jetlee gets a second chance. The airplane comedy and Satya’s timing may work better with home viewers. People who missed it in theatres can now watch it on JioHotstar. The film may find new fans online and get better word of mouth after streaming.
