Everyone Trying To Get Control Over Exhibitors Issues

The clash over rental and profit sharing in Telugu cinema is getting bigger. It is no longer just a small issue between theatres and producers. Now it is a direct fight between top players like SVC, Asian Cinemas, and Mythri Movie Makers. Many people in the industry say the pressure is aimed at big production houses, and Mythri is right in the middle of it. The debate is heating up because both sides have strong points, and it could affect how big films release.

Look at the coming lineup of top hero films. Mythri is leading the race. They are producing Peddi, NTRNeel, and Fauzi. They are also in final talks for Telugu states rights of Varanasi and Raaka. Apart from these, Mythri has deals with almost every big star. Because of this strong hold, some feel the push from SVC Group and friends is making things tough for large producers. If the rules change fast, it may create problems for huge budget movies that need smooth releases.

Theatre owners like Asian Cinemas say the old rental system is not working for them anymore. They want a fair share, and many agree that theatres need better revenue to survive. Mythri’s Ravi Shankar had said earlier that a sudden move to a percentage system in Telangana is not right. He wants proper talks with all parties first. So both sides have valid reasons. But a sudden, big change could shake the whole system. Now the talk is not just about money. It is also about who holds power in Telugu cinema.

People in trade circles are asking a simple question. If the same exhibitors who took rights for Varanasi, Spirit, and Raaka were producers, would they still support this change? Many think the stand might be different. The whole issue shows that Telugu film business is changing. It is not just about tickets and screens. It is also about control between big producers and big theatre chains.
