Former VP Venkaiah Naidu takes on Pushpa

Allu Arjun's Pushpa The Rise and Pushpa The Rule drove all crazy and broke all records at the box office. Allu Arjun's performance in the role of a smuggler captured the imagination of all so much so that he won national award for the best actor and in the process became the first actor from Tollywood to achieve this feat.

However, many have been critical of people worshipping and lauding Allu Arjun's performance as Pushparaj the smuggler. Few days back a teacher spoke about how the film is having bad effect on school children. Now, former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu speaking at an event echoed similar views.

He said "It is unfortunate that heroes portraying dark roles are dominating the industry. Smugglers and individuals involved in wrongdoing are being idolized," he lamented, emphasizing that such portrayals could have a misleading influence on the younger generation. "Cinema is not just a business—it is a powerful art form capable of shaping society," he added.

He continued "Nothing can replace good content and exceptional acting. Since we cannot bring back legends like NTR and ANR, it is crucial to nurture new talent and promote positive values for a better society,"
