Nani Shared Interesting Aspects From The Paradise
Nani has opened up about the demanding making of The Paradise, saying he personally performed the film’s risky action sequences without a body double. During promotions, he revealed that some schedules lasted nearly 36 hours, while his elaborate look involved heavy braids, extensive makeup, injuries and challenging rope work during action blocks.
Nani explained that he prefers performing his own shots because discovering a body double on screen would prevent him from genuinely enjoying the final result. The Paradise required around one hour and 40 minutes for makeup and 20 minutes for removal. He said continuous shooting sometimes left his scalp red and uncomfortable.
Nani praised Srikanth Odela’s uncompromising vision, calling the film’s opening episodes among his favourites and highlighting their intensity. He also praised Anirudh Ravichander’s background score, Mohan Babu’s brutal character, Sonali Kulkarni’s dedication as the mother and the supporting performances. He said night time action sequences were designed like individual cinematic set pieces.
Addressing the film’s delays, Nani said postponements do not necessarily affect a filmmaker’s career when the final product maintains quality, citing Sukumar’s Pushpa as an example. He said The Paradise was postponed twice before September 24, with the entire team working around the clock to protect its quality. Nani expects audiences to remember its mother-son emotion.
