Mysaa Teaser Showcases Rashmika Action Transformation
Rashmika Mandanna says Mysaa demanded unprecedented physical and emotional commitment, unlike her earlier work in The Girlfriend. At the teaser launch, she revealed that director Rawindra Pulle pushed her through demanding action, forest shoots and dangerous sequences, describing the experience as giving her “life” to the character rather than merely performing.
The actress revealed that she ran across difficult hill terrain in Kerala, battled mud and spent extended hours underwater for the film. She also jumped from a 90 foot waterfall despite her fear of heights. Rashmika said the reality of performing these sequences proved considerably more difficult than imagining them while reading the script.
Rashmika also suffered a hip tendon injury while filming a dance sequence, with her doctor reportedly comparing the scan to a football player’s injury. The production additionally completed what the makers described as India’s first female underwater fight sequence. Kecha handled the action choreography, while Jakes Bejoy composed the intense score.
Directed by debutant Rawindra Pulle and produced by UnFormula Films, Mysaa presents Rashmika as a Gond woman in an intense emotional action thriller. Eshwari Rao, Rahul Ravindran, Samuthirakani and Rao Ramesh feature alongside her. The film is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on November 27, 2026, across Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
