Burglary at Anupam Kher office: Two Arrested

Mumbai police have apprehended two individuals, Majid Sheikh and Daler Bahreem Khan, in connection with the burglary at actor Anupam Kher's office this week. The duo was apprehended from the Jogeshwari area on Friday night.

Police investigations reveal that Sheikh and Khan are serial thieves who often utilize autorickshaws to travel across Mumbai while carrying out their criminal activities. They targeted Anupam Kher's office on Vira Desai Road in Amboli on Wednesday, making off with film negatives from a production owned by the actor's company and Rs 4.15 lakh in cash. The thieves also committed another burglary in Vile Parle on the same day.

A portion of the stolen property has been recovered from the suspects. The incident was reported by Kher on X and Instagram, where he described the break-in and theft of the safe and film negatives.

The actor expressed his hope that the thieves would realize their wrongdoings, stating, "May God give them good sense (sad-buddhi')."  CCTV footage from the building captured the duo fleeing in an autorickshaw.

The Amboli police station has filed an FIR and is continuing their investigation into the case.
