Trisha : Evergreen Charmer

Trisha is one of those rare actress who has a prolific career of two decades and counting. She has been consistently building her career at the same time maintaining her stardom. Over the time she choose matured roles as an actress and still doing big films. It comes as a rarity that an actress does this successfully in her career.

Trisha who won Miss Chennai title has first made appearance in films in Jodi as a friend to Simran in that film. Later she became a lead actress with Suriya starrer Mounam Pesiyadhe. She rose to stardom with Vikram starrer Saamy and became a hot favourite among youth with Lesa Lesa in the same year. Her biggest break came with Varsham starring Prabhas in Telugu the next year, 2004. 

Trisha became a star in Tamil with Ghilli starring Vijay and also in Telugu with Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana and Athadu starring Mahesh. She won Filmfare awards as best actress in Telugu for Varsham, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana and Aaduvaari Matalaku Ardhale Verule films. She also made her Bollywood debut with Khatta Meetha starring Akshay Kumar. Her performance in Abhiyum Naanum / Aakasamantha where she played lead role won praises.

Trisha revived her career with Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (Yem Maya Chesave In Telugu) starring Simbu in Gautham Menon's direction. She once again proved why she is unique among her contemporaries with that film. She acted with almost all top stars in Telugu and Tamil. She played negative role in Dhanush starrer Kodi / Dharmayogi. With '96 starring Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha once again proved her mettle. These two films won her Filmfare awards as best actress in Tamil. Trisha scored and proved her acting prowess with recently released Ponniyin Selvan films where she played as princess.  She was also seen in Vijay's 'Leo'. She is currently playing as a female lead with Megastar Chiranjeevi in socio fantasy biggie, 'Vishwambhara'
