Murugadoss buys a BMW. Acclaimed director AR Murugadoss recently made headlines with his acquisition of the luxurious BMW X7 SUV. Pictures shared on social media captured his excitement as he posed with his family beside his new acquisition. The car, estimated to cost around ₹1.30 crore, has gained popularity among celebrities such as Rajinikanth, Yami Gautam, Shahid Kapoor, Bharti Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sargun Mehta, and Ajay Devgn.

Murugadoss is one of the few directors who can boast of working with notable actors across Kollywood, Tollywood, and Bollywood. While his most recent film, Darbar, starring Rajinikanth, received mixed reviews, he has also penned the story for Trisha's Raangi and produced the period drama August 16 1947. Notably, Murugadoss has been absent from the director's chair for the past four years.

In a candid interview, Murugadoss reflected on the failure of Darbar, stating that he became overconfident and underestimated his capabilities. However, he admitted to learning from his mistakes and has a renewed appreciation for the filmmaking process.
