Kota Bommali Ps, a cop, political drama starring Srikanth, Varalaxmi SarathKumar, Rahul Vijay, Shivani Rajasekhar, and Murali Sharma released in theatres yesterday, November 24. The film opened to a positive response from the audiences and critics. The film directed by Teja Marni while Bunny Vas and Vidya Koppineedi bankrolled it.
The film which is an official remake of Malayalam film, 'Nayattu' succeeded in delivering a gripping survival thriller with an election backdrop. Director handled the complex conflicts impressively with slight changes to the original. Srikanth shouldered the film with his intense and impactful performance ably aided by other cast.
'Kota Bommali Ps' which is made with a budget of Rs 8 Crores is expected to return most of it from OTT and satellite deals. So, it got into theatres with a little target to enter into profit zone. The film has collected Rs 1.75 Crores gross worldwide on its first day. The share of the film is around 1.30 Crs. Considering the scale of the film, it is a good number on its opening day at the boxoffice.
With increasing word of mouth, the film witnessed growth from noon to night shows at major centers. As the film is carrying good reports, it has become the primary choice for audiences this week. Saturday started on a positive note and forecasts a very strong weekend for the film ahead.
