Rajini - Shankar Event Film Sivaji Re-Releasing On 12th December

Back when prestigious AVM Studios announced their golden Jubilee years's project, 'Sivaji' in Superstar Rajinikanth, Director Shankar's combination, all hell broke loose. It became a huge news accross the south Indian film fraternity. The expectations were like never before, the news about the film while it was in the making were raised the anticipation to new heights and fans excitement was hitting the roof. Finally the day arrived when the film hit the big screens. It was a chaos at the boxoffice with a festive like atmosphere everywhere.

Now once again get ready to witness the frenzy of 'Sivaji the Boss', in the theatres. The film is all set to hit the big screens once more in Tamil on December 9, and December 12 in Telugu on the eve of Superstar Rajinikanth's 73rd birthday. Shriya acted as female lead opposite Rajinikanth while Nayanthara did a special appearance in a song. Late Vivek did key role in the film while Suman did the role of antagonist.

AR Rahman has composed music for Sivaji which is still ruling playlists. The music and songs were a rage back then. Sivaji deals with an important problem of storing black money by big money sharks and politicians. Rajinikanth's style, Shankar's grand taking, AR Rahman's music worked like a magic taking the audience to a magnificent ride. Sivaji marks the first south Indian film to gross 100 Crores worldwide at the boxoffice.

After Blockbuster Jailer and completing Lal Salaam, Rajinikanth has begun shooting for his upcoming film, Thalaivar 170, directed by T. J Gnanavel and co-starring Amitabh Bachchan. The film, which also stars Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, Rana Daggubati and Fahadh Faasil, began filming in Kerala earlier this month.
