Suriya Acquires Rights Of 12th Fail

Suriya is one of the most admired and versatile hero in South film industry. He is considered as one of those rare stars who is loved by all. His filmography stands as a testament for his wife choice of scripts. Offlate, his films didn't made much impact at the Boxoffice. His last two films Soorarai Pottru / Aakasham Nee Haddura and Jai Bhim won numerous praises and awards. But, those were direct to OTT releases skipping theatrical releases.

Now, Suriya is pooling all his strengths and concentrated on Magnum opus 'Kanguva' which is being made as a period action drama mounted on a huge scale. The film is getting ready to release in 3D format in 10 languages. Siva is directing the film while UV Creations along with Studio Green are producing it. The film is slated to hit the screens in summer next year.

Suriya also produces films regularly. He continuously bankroll his own films and his brother Karthi films under his 2D Entertainment banner along with his wife Jyotika. He is producing his National award winning film Soorarai Pottru in Hindi with Akshay Kumar. Suriya also announced that his next after Kanguva will be with director Sudha Kongara. Suriya43 boasts stellar cast including Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya and Vijay Varma. 

Latest news is that Suriya has acquired the female rights of latest Bollywood Blockbuster 12th Fail starring Vikranth Massey directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The film which is made with a low budget but with high conviction has turned out to become a sleeper hit. It depicts the life of Civil Services aspirants. It is unknown whether Suriya himself will star in the film or produce it with some other hero.
