Sreekanth Addala : Feel Good To Ferocious

Sreekanth Addala is known for his sensible and feel good family dramas couple with love story. The way he portrays sensitive issues in human relations and positivity makes him a different director in the world of commercial genre films. He takes a u turn from his initial style and is making intense subjects dealing with societal inequalities. 

Sreekanth worked as an assistant director for many films and while working for films Arya and Bommarillu in popular producer Dil Raju's production, he narrated a story and made his debut with Kotha Bangaru Lokam starring Varun Sandesh and Swetha Basu Prasad. The coming of the age love story became a superhit giving him a successful entry as a director.

Then, he made 'Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' starring Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu, the biggest multi-starrer at that time. Despite having two big stars on board, Sreekanth Addala choses to make a film in his style depicting human emotions, relations with a beautiful family drama between brothers. 

He made 'Mukunda' as his third film which also marks the debut of Varun Tej. The film won accolades for its dialogues and presentation of heroism along with a musical love story. His fourth film is 'Brahmotsavam' with Mahesh Babu, Samantha, Kajal. But, the film disappointed at the boxoffice.

After taking a break, Sreekanth Addala came with 'Narappa' starring Venkatesh which is a remake of National Award winning Tamil film, 'Asuran' starring Dhanush in Vettri Maaran's direction. The film won critical acclaim and good reviews for Sreekanth effectively handling the serious issues in society. Due to pandemic, Narappa was directly released in Amazon Prime OTT. 

Now, he is coming again with another serious film about village politics and inequalities titled Peddha Kapu-1 where he is also doing a key role for the first first time. Virat Karrna is making his debut as a hero with this film. Peddha Kapu-1 is slated to release on September 29th.
