Pakistan cricket team is known for its unpredictability. No one knows when it takes off and when it slides down. Today Pakistan team came up with a clinical performance to crush New Zealand in the semi-final to enter the T-20 world cup final. Pakistan awaits India in the final which will be played on November 13. India in the meanwhile takes on England on November 10. New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat and right from the word go, nothing went right for them.
Pakistan bowlers put a tight cap on the New Zealand batsmen and though they did not lose many wickets, they ended up scoring only 152/4. Captain Kane Williamson scored 46 but he couldn't really take off as he consumed 42 balls. It was left to a late blitz from Daryl Mitchell who scored an unbeaten 53 (36). Shaheen Shah Afridi got 24/2 putting early brakes on the New Zealand innings.
Pakistan came out and chased down the target in a clinical fashion. Openers, Captain Babar Azam and Md. Rizwan paced the chase perfectly. Babar Azam struck form 57(43) while Rizwan scored 53(42). Though they lost a few wickets in the end, they are really never in trouble. They crossed the line with 5 balls to spare scoring 157/3.
