The Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on Wednesday advised the Board of Trustees of the Tirumala Tirupati Devsthanams (TTD) to give to top priority in providing hasslefree darshan for common devotees.
Convening a meeting with the TTD officials at his chambers, the Chief Minister asked the officials to do away with VIP break darshans on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to reduce rush of pilgrims.
Briefing mediapersons of the Board decisions to the Chief Minister, TTD Chairman Audikesavulu said that the Board members had concurred on the need to cut the time for VIP darshans and provide more time to the common devotees.
The Chairman said that a suitable decision on arjita sevas and presence of the devotees at the various sevas would be taken after getting a clear picture on the issue.
When asked about High Court directing the TTD to submit a comprehensive list of the jewellery attached to the main temple at Tirumala along with registers, Audikesavulu said that the TTD is yet to receive the court copy on the issue.
Minister for Endowment Gade Venkata Reddy stated that the department would update the property details of all temples in the State in net by October 2.
