Mumbai,Dec 11: Glaxosmithkline,a drug manufacturing company temporarily halted operations in Andhra Pradesh on Friday as the Government has stepped up the process of bifurcating the state.The Centre approved a plan on Thursday for the formation of Telangana out of Andhra Pradesh.The Centre was forced to take this decision following a weeklong violent protests and a hunger strike by TRS leader K Chandrasekhar Rao.Glaxosmithkline Consumer Healthcare, a unit of the global drugmaker, said on Friday it was temporarily closing its factory in the state due to the political protests.
