Gopichand Malineni missed NTR projects

Gopichnd Malineni speaking to scribes shared how he missed directing Young Tiger Ntr. Gopichand Malineni scored a massive hit with Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy. Speaking to scribes, Gopichand Malineni said he missed teaming with Ntr on more than one occasion.

He said he was supposed to do Katti remake with Ntr and when he took the proposal to director Murugadoss who did the original with Vijay, he also got excited and spoke directly with Ntr. He said during that time, out of a bolt from the blue, Chiranjeevi acquired the remake rights of Katti. Chiranjeevi starred in Katti remake Khaidi No 150 which turned out to be a blockbuster and his milestone 150 film and his return to the silver screen.

He said the confusion arose due to Ilayathalapati Vijay as he showed interest in getting the original version dubbed and release iN Telugu. He said even before they could convince him, Chiranjeevi bagged the film's remake rights. He said for the second time he missed talking with Ntr. He said he planned a film under Dil Raju's production and narrated a story to Ntr. He said Ntr said he cannot do such a mass entertainer and expressed his inability to do the project. and asked him to come up with a mass story with a comedy angle.
