Kartik Aaryan was considered as future star when his film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 turned out to be a box office blockbuster last year at a time when most of the Hindi films were failing at the Box-office. Soon, he was touted as the next big superstar of Hindi cinema and his latest film Shehzada which was a remake of Telugu Blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurrammulo expected to rock the box office even more than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
The film took a disappointing start at the box office earning a poor Rs 6 crore on its first day despite Buy One Get One Free offer. To know how big flop the film is, the opening day of the film is less than half of Kartik’s previous release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which had collected Rs 14.11 crore on day 1.
It is the lowest opening film of Kartik’s career in the last 6 years & second lowest opener in the last 8 years. Kriti Sanon is the leading lady of the film.
