James Cameron's visual spectacle Avatar2: The Way Of Water hit the screens on December 16 and those who watched the film are awe-struck with the vision of the legend. Now many felt that Avatar 2: The Way of Water has shades of two Indian films and that too from south filmmakers. They are Maniratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 1 and Rajamouli's Baahubali.
Avatar2: The Way Of Water has a scene where the newborn is introduced just like young Baahubali in Rajamouli's Baahubali. Watching that scene, everyone in the theatres started shouting ' Baahubali'. There is also a scene referring to the stars and constellations and people remembered Maniratnam's Ponniyin Selvan in which they discuss evil happenings due to the constellation of the stars.
Many say even Hollywood director and great legend like James Cameron is inspired by Indian films and they also point out that Avatar 2 highlighted many family emotions and bonding in an impactful way.
