There is still one month's time for Sankranti 2023, however, the makers of films that are slated for Sankranti release are now experiencing Avatar scares. Avatar 2 is slated for an extravagant release across the world on December 16, 2022. The makers opted for direct release as no one came forward to acquire the dubbing rights for the whopping amount they quoted.

They lured the distributors by promising extravagant profits and got the highest number of theatres in the country. It is coming out that already more than Rs10crs worth advance bookings happened and Avatar 2 is expected to break all records at the box office. Avatar makers agreed to give around 35% share to the distributors and gave the rights only to those who agreed to this clause. Bus inside talk is, they came up with another shocking condition, and those who complied with that condition only got the distribution rights.

Filmmakers who slated their films for Sankranti release are confident that Avatar 2 craze will come down by Sankranti. But inside talk is Avatar makers gave distribution rights to only those who agreed to screen the film even during Sankranti season. They are planning to screen the film even during Sankranti in a record number of theatres. If this happens then, Sankranti releases like Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya, Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy, Vijay's Varisu/Varasudu, Ajith's Thunivu, Tegimpu, and few more Telugu films will be getting shock of their lives.
