Varisu is already announced in Telugu as Vaarasudu and announced its arrival. Now Thunivu also joined the race, it is being released in Telugu with Thegimpu title.

As Vaarasudu is produced by Dil Raju, it is getting good number of screens. Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy are produced by Mythri Movie Makers and they are trying to get maximum screens. Mythri opening it's own distribution office in Nizam while in AP both the films are being released by the banner's seasoned distributors. Amidst all this mad rush for screens, here comes a new entrant to the race. UV Creations production titled Kalyanam Kamaneeyam starring Young Hero Santosh Shobhan is getting ready to release for Sankranthi. This small film with a new Director Anil could have been overlooked otherwise. But, the production house UV Creations has a very good hold on theatres in Telugu states. They even has their own chain of theatres in many A & B centers. They planned to release Prabhas Adipurush for Pongal but with the film's postponement, they brought their own production into the picture. This surely makes things more complicated in allocating theatres for five films.
