USA Business Of Waltair Veerayya And Veera Simha Reddy

Megastar Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya and Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy, both are announced to release for Sankranthi 2023. Though the dates are yet to be announced, both the films are getting publicized saying Pongal release. Distributors are worried with this clash. As Prabhas's Adipurush and Vijay's Varasudu were also announced to release for Sankranthi on January 12, buyers feels too many releases create theatres problem and they even eat each other's share resulting in limited returns. 

For this reason business in most of the areas are yet to be closed. Trade is expecting some films get pushed out of Sankranthi. Once the release dates gets finalised, business for all areas will get closed. But, overseas business was done for Waltair Veerayya, Veera Simha Reddy and Varisu. It is said that OS distributors Shloka Entertainments acquired Usa distribution rights for Chiranjeevi, NBK and Vijay's films. 

Waltair Veerayya is bought for Rs 7.5 Crores, Veera Simha Reddy for Rs 4 Crores and Varisu for Rs 7.5 Crores. This is highest ever pre-release business for both Balakrishna and Vijay in Usa. Shloka bought all three films from Phars International who has entire overseas rights of these films.
