5 Years for Mahesh's Industry Hit

Prince Mahesh Babu's Srimanthudu hit the screens on August 7, 2015 and stood as an industry hit. (non BB). The film completed five years and entered sixth year on Friday. 

Srimanthudu collected a share Rs.82 crores in its full run and which is the highest among non Baahubali films till then. Top production house Mythri Movie Makers made their debut with this resounding blockbuster. 

Koratala Siva sensibly conveyed a strong message embedding all the commercial elements in the film which ultimately paid off at the ticket window. Shruti Haasan played Mahesh Babu's romantic interest while Devi Sri Prasad made it a musical hit. 

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is working with Geetha Govindam film's director Parasuram for Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Keerthy Suresh will play Mahesh's romantic interest in this film that has bank scams backdrop. Mythri Movie Makers, GMB Entertainment and 14 Reels are jointly producing the film.
