Mahanati Takes The Initiative, Will They Follow?

During the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, the economy came to a standstill and all sectors got affected. The film industry got severely affected and producers are staring at the bleak future as there is still no clarity on the opening of the theatres.

Directors and producers are in two minds whether to start the shooting or not though governments gave them all the permissions. In the midst of all this, Keerthy Suresh who cast a magic spell with her performance in Mahanati decided to take an initiative.

Her PR team sent messages to the producers and directors that she is thinking of slashing her remuneration by 25-30%. Currently, Keerthy is starring in Rajinikanth's Annathe as his daughter. Keerthy Suresh's father Suresh Kumar is a producer in Malayalam. He requested everyone to reduce remuneration to help the film industry and Keerthy Suresh has taken the lead for others to follow.
