The AP government is aggressively taking steps to announce three capitals to AP. The GN Rao's committee, which was constituted to study on capital issues, recommended Vizag, Kurnool and Amaravati as the capitals. The committee submitted its report to the government recently.
On the other hand, Boston Consultancy Group, which was also constituted to work on capital issues, will submit its report to government on January 3. In the meantime, a high power committee was constituted to work on these two reports. This high power committee comprises a couple of ministers and bureaucrats.
Interim, the TDP loyalists at Amaravati have been agitating against the government's decision. They are worrying about the high value of their lands will come down drastically with the government's decision.
In the wake of all these political developments, the Janasena chief Power Star Pawan Kalyan holds an extensive meet with his party''s leaders and advisers today. As of now, most of his protests against the government appeared to have favoured the TDP. It remains to be seen if Janasena chief takes a neutral stand on capitals row or to support the TDP protesting against three capitals. Since Lingamaneni Ramesh, who is alleged to have owned hundreds of acres of lands in Amaravati, is known to have given certain land for Pawan Kalyan's house construction, it's envisaged by some analysts that Pawan Kalyan would oppose the government decision to save Lingamaneni.
