Ranveer Singh star portrays Kapil Dev in 83, a biopic directed by Kabir Khan on the former cricket skipper who led the India to a 1983 World Cup triumph. The Bollywood star shares a new still from his film performing the iconic 'Natraj' shot of legendary cricketer.
Donning a curly hairdo with a moustache and team India’s white World Cup uniform, Ranveer Singh perfectly performs the popular 'Nataraj' shot and his looks completely looked like that of the legendary cricketer. The picture indeed has increased the excitement level on the film.
“The match that was never televised... a world record innings that India never saw... this April the world will see how history was made on that cold windy day in Tunbridge Wells...” director Khan captioned the first still photo on Instagram.
Apart from Ranveer, 83 also stars Deepika Padukone, Harrdy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Amrita Puri, Jiiva, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Sahil Khattar and Chirag Patil in the lead roles. The film based on India's first win at Cricket World Cup in 1983 is releasing on April 10, 2020.
