Stars Showing Their Power As Producers

In the early days, heroes and producers used to be different. However few top stars like NTR, ANR, and Krishna turned producers and tasted success scoring blockbusters. Mohan Babu and Murali Mohan for long continued as producers. The current generation has many young stars who are showing their power as producers.

Among the seniors, King Nagarjuna has been producing many hit films on his Annapurna Studious banner. He has been one of the few successful producers in Tollywood. Natasimha Balakrishna tested his luck as a producer with NTR biopic but it turned out to be a disaster.

Kalyan Ram on NTR Arts produced many films. He has hits like Athanokkade, Jai Lava Kusa and disasters like Om 3D, Kick 2. Ram Charan on Konidela Productions produced two films Khaidi No 150 and Sye Raa. Both the films turned out to be super hits.

Pawan Kalyan on Pawan Kalyan Creative Works, Mahesh Babu on GMB Entertainments collaborated with other banners for few films but they never turned full-fledged producers. Mahesh is now producing Adivi Sesh's Major. Only after this film, one can talk of Mahesh as a producer.

Nani on his Wall Poster banner produced Awe and got a good hit apart from winning the critical acclaim. Vijay Devarakonda produced Meeku Maatrame Cheptha on his King Of The Hill banner and one cannot talk about it as the film's theatrical run is yet to be completed. Naga Shourya and Karthikeya are not turning producers but instead acting as heroes in their family members' banners.
