Media Ignores Building Workers Agitation

Media's Blind Eye on Building Workers Protests
Media's Blind Eye on Building Workers Protests

What should be the role of Media when a huge section of people suffer an immense crisis and get agitated for their survival? The Media must support them on moral and ethical grounds. But then, what has Telugu Media done in the case of building construction workers agitation?

Deplorably, most of the print, electronic and web Media houses turned blind eye with the protests of building construction workers. Furthermore, they gave black eye to the politicians like Power Star Pawan Kalyan who supported the workers and fought against new sand policy of YSRCP government.

On the day of Janasena long march was conducted, Telugu newspapers like Vaa***, Andhra Bhoo**, Andhra Pat*** and many others published the criticisms of YSRCP's ministers Kannababu, Avanthi and Anil Kumar Yadav in headlines and sidelined Pawan Kalyan's long march updates.

Many top news channels didn't give good coverage to long march. Instead, they scrolled the ministers' criticism on Pawan Kalyan repeatedly. Some Cheap Andhra online Media houses too posted B grade meaningless and useless articles against the workers agitation.

People who are fond of Media are appealing all the biased Media houses to restore ethics and values in journalism.
