Upcoming Sankranthi is all set to be jam-packed with a big number of films slated for release in the season. It is a known thing that Stylish Star Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapuramulo and Prince Mahesh Babu's Sarileru Neekevvaru will be locking horns with the same release date January 12 scheduled by the makers of both the films.
In addition to above films Victory Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya's Venky Mama, Kalyan Ram's Entha Manchivadavuraa and Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's Darbar are releasing for Sankranthi.
However, there has been a big demand sprouted among movie lovers of Telugu states. They are appealing the producers council of Telugu states to stop the release of Darbar as it being a dubbed film.
"Our Telugu films like Sye Raa and Saaho received very poor response in Tamil Nadu. Saaho incurred Rs.10 crores loss and Sye Raa incurred Rs.4 crores loss. Top heroes like Rajini, Vijay and Ajith had never a word of appreciation on our films. Tamil audience have strong regional feeling and which is the key factor our films get poor response in Tamil Nadu state. It would be a reasonable demand Darbar gets postponed to January month end to give space to straight Telugu films for Sankranthi,' say the movie lovers. It remains to be seen whether Telugu makers would pay heed of movie lovers demand or not.
