Super Star Overseas Record Yet Again

Super Star Rajinikanth is still ruling Kollywood industry as number one star, though he is getting stiff competition from Vijay, Ajith and few others. But, every time he is proving that, he will remain to be number one until he bids adieu to films.

When it comes to overseas market, there is no competition for Rajinikanth in Tamil industry. Freshly, his Darbar overseas rights deal proves the same. The AR Murugadoss directed film fetched its makers whopping Rs 35 crores through overseas business. This is highest ever for a Tamil film and fourth highest in South.

Rajinikanth broke his own record with Darbar. His previous best was Petta which was sold for Rs 34.5 crores. Rajinikanth’s Kabali fetched 34 crores and Vijay’s highly anticipated sports drama Bigil was sold for 30 crores.

Rajamouli’s RRR starring Ram Charan and NTR which is the hot cake in trade circles was sold for 75 crores in overseas. Baahubali 2 and Saaho take second and third spots with the business of Rs 70 crores and 42 Cr.
