Vakkantam Vamsi attained super stardom as a writer. He penned scripts for various superhit films and his fame increased so much so that there was a stage when he received Rs 1cr per story. Imagine how it would have been, had he persisted in the same profession.

However, he was hellbent on the direction and finally made his debut turning a director with Stylish Star Allu Arjun's patriotic entertainer Naa Peru Surya. The film gave such a shock to Allu Arjun that he remained silent for many months and he did not even come out and appear in the public.

Vakkanam for long continued in Geetha Arts compound. But nothing is working for him as he is not getting the right script and also unable to set the right project. Under these circumstances, an influential person convinced Mega Star Chiranjeevi to listen to Vakkantam's story.

Chiranjeevi heard the story in a serious manner with keen interest but after the narration gave a huge shock by rejecting him outright. Vakkantam is now left in a lurch wondering about his next move. No star is free at present and Vakkantam is busy cooking scripts in Geetha Arts compound. His situation is fast turning out to be like BVS Ravi who failed to make the most out of the debut film.
