Many are left wondering whether Super Star Mahesh Babu did a right thing by sidelining Sukumar for Anil Ravipudi. Mahesh revealed that he preferred Anil Ravipudi over Sukumar as he had done lots of serious, message oriented films and Sukumar's story too fell in the same category. Mahesh made it clear that he gave green signal to Anil Ravipudi since his story had lots of fun.
However critics feel Mahesh is taking a huge risk just for the sake of more fun. Unlike few years back, it is not that easy to create a laughing riot among movie lovers. It is becoming difficult for the directors and writers to come up with hilarious scenes in films after people got addicted to the punches in programs like Jabardasth.
To the top of it, loud comedy do not work out for stars like Mahesh Babu. Silent comedy and punch dialogues are the need of the hour. Anil Ravipudi is known for loud comedy and one has to wait and see how this will suit Mahesh Babu.
Analysts are of the opinion that the uncertainity and unpredictabile nature over expectations on Mahesh-Anil Ravipudi's project may act in a negative manner. Anil's previous film F2 turned out to be a blockbuster during sankranti but a section already criticised the kind of comedy in the film. It is difficult to repeat similar comedy with Mahesh Babu.
Apart from it, Mahesh is not lucky with full length entertainers as films like Khaleja and Aagadu turned out to be disasters. So keeping all these experiences in the mind, Anil Ravipudi should come up with an entertaining plot or else Mahesh will find himself back to square one.
