Varun Tej To Fight Bollywood Star?

Mega Prince Varun Tej is currently lining up projects after entering into success orbit with the films Fidaa, Tholi Prema and F2. He is turning Valmiki in a remake of Tamil hit Jigarthanda under the direction of Harish Shankar and also teaming up with debutante Kiran Korrapati, a former assistant of Sreenu Vaitla.

The project is touted to be a sports based entertainer and Varun Tej who is playing the role of a boxer is already training under Olympic Gold Medalist Tony Jeffries in Los Angeles, USA.

In the meantime it is coming out that the makers are planning to cast Bollywood action hero Sunil Shetty in an important role. Sunil Shetty shot to fame with his films like Bhai, Border, Hera Pheri and Dhadkan and is already making his debut in south with Sandalwood star Kichcha Sudeep's Pailwaan and is also part of Priyadarshan's Malayalam entertainer Marakkar: The Lion of the Arabian Sea which stars Mohan Lal and Arjun in important roles.

A source shares, "It is a sports-themed film something on the lines of Salman Khan’s Sultan. The makers have recently met Sunil Shetty and offered a crucial role in the film. Impressed with the way the character was conceived, he is excited and willing to come on board."
