Pellichoopulu from Vijay Devarakonda, Tharun Bhascker and producer Raj Kandukuri has set a novel benchmark for aspiring talents in film industry. In a generation where film making is made to look pretty easy, given that dedication and sincerity are present in the team… wonders like Pellichoopulu are ought to happen very frequently.

On the same lines of Pellichoopulu arrived one more urban romantic drama Mental Madhilo, in fact also followed a similar promotional strategy released through Daggubati Suresh Babu’s Suresh Productions after having screened good number of preview shows for critics, media and many more connected with industry.

Whatever the critical applause Mental Madhilo is enjoying today should be translated into Box Office and commercial verdict is actually still awaited. Reports say, the film has struck right chord with elite audience and revenues are on rise but definitely nowhere close to Pellichoopulu.

While Mental Madhilo first half is given a big thumbs up by common audience, lack of fun and certain portions in Mumbai episodes appeared to have been dragged giving second half a thumbs down.

Internal sources say, Suresh Babu watched the film long back advising director Vivek Athreya and team to make second half peppy and entertaining by addition of situational fun, something like what Priyadarshi’s presence does for Pellichoopulu.

However, Vivek Athreya was not prepared to dilute the soul and feel in his concept did not agree with Suresh Babu. He just let the team to work on few re-edits without disturbing the core essence.

Well, how good or bad is this decision from Vivek of going against Suresh Babu’s suggestion? No confusion... Box Office speaks in next few days.
