Some days ago, legendary heroine Jamuna came down heavily on Rajamouli's folklore entertainer 'Baahubali' commenting it as a stupid film. And now, this is the turn of senior character artist Kaikala Satyanarayana.
Kaikala's interview was published in a leading Telugu newspaper today. Answering to one of the questions Kaikala said, "What's there in Baahubali? Did the movie have a good dialogue, good story or good music? The action sequences shot on the film were canned by Vithalacharya garu long back. The fights in those days were called 'Tricks' and now they are being called 'Graphics'. When the makers are investing crores on a project, they should ensure to provide a message apart from entertainment."
Kaikala Satyanarayana, however, misunderstood that today's actors are not learning horse riding and sword fights for folklore films. He should have watched the movies of young superstars of Tollywood, so that he could know how well they are skilled at. Kaikala might have good at those skills, but the heroes of his generation, would never ever learn those skills and preferred body doubles for action sequences.
Kaikala also expressed his concern over for not being received the honours like 'Padma Sri' from the central government. The AP Government should recommend Kaikala's name for Padma award so that it could be regarded as a token of respect on this legendary character artist.
