Financial matters are the only reasons why relations get spoiled in film industry. ‘Kabali’ Telugu version distribution rights are bagged by KP Chowdary and Praveen Varma on the banner of Shanmukha Films for a whopping price of 32 Crores. However, they aren’t unaware of a fact that Rajini’s previous flop films would hinder their ‘Kabali’ business chances.
Although, Chowdary got fancy pre release offers from many area wise buyers but entry of Dasari Narayana Rao into the scene appears to have changed overall scenario. ‘I received many threatening calls from big wigs in industry trying to stop ‘Kabali’ release. How can I be held responsible for the losses distributors suffered with Rajini’s last two films?
Distribution Council members have also frightened buyers from paying us advances and pending amounts before release. No body from the industry co-operated with me in promotions and release. ‘Kabali’ will be my first and last film as producer and distributor,’ KP Chowdary reportedly informed to close media friends. One does not know, what’s his reaction now po0st ‘Kabali’ release?
