Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' Telugu version fell into a state of bewilderment. The utter disaster result of 'Vikrama Simha', Telugu version of 'Kochadaiyaan' still haunts Rajini. 'Vikramasimha' was bought by Lakshmi Ganapathi Films for Telugu states for a whopping price. Rajinikanth's better half, Latha Rajinikanth, signed on an agreement for recoverable basis of advance.
Lakshmi Ganapathi Films, however suffered 7+ crores losses for 'Vikramasimha'. They have been reportedly demanding Rajinikanth to pay their advances back. But their attempts have gone futile. In the meanwhile, 'Kabali's distribution rights have been acquired by Shanmukha Pictures for a record price of Rs.32 crores.
The latest we heard is that Lakshmi Ganapathi Films have issued an ultimatum to the distributors not to release the movie unless the compensation is paid for them. It is also learnt that Distributors Council have been endorsed the task to solve the issues. 'Kabali' is scheduled for release on July 7.
