Jean pants has been the fashion for almost four decades in Tollywood and is still dominating the fashion world. Torn jeans, Stone wash, Corduroy, denim jeans etc. were the other trends set by the heroes at times. However, there was a strange type of dressing and hair styling of heroes during the period between 1975 and early 80s, which set a mania among the people in that period but looked awkward now.

During late 70s, heroes, appeared with long hippy hair style with thick and long whiskers seen on either side of the ears below the temples of a hero. Shirts or blazers had abnormal length and width of collars. Trousers would get widen from knees downward and would end with a bell at the bottom. Then aged Superstars would dance wearing the costumes of shirts and pants of similar coloured ones preferring yellow, orange, red etc. However, young and energetic heroes like Megastar Chiraneevi and a few others, who would also  follow the trend for a brief period, later changed the trend replacing above costumes with t-shirts, shirts of variable Styles and jeans. Meanwhile, bell-bottom style of pants were seen in the name of 'Boot Cut' a couple of years ago. But the style was disappeared within no time.
