The AICC's Vice President Rahul Gandhi's two and half month sabbatical led to many speculations and ruling party has tried to take a dig at the Congress Party in this regard. However, Rahul appeared to have been back with recharged batteries. His body language, language and attitude have been changed. There appeared to be a great confidence in his histrionics and all of these qualities were well manifested by him in the Kisan rally held in Delhi and in the lower house of Parliament yesterday. Also, he seems to have set all of his weapons readied to go for a duel with India's PM, Narendra Modi. As Modi was primarily assessed as oratory skills and dramatization of narration as the best of his strategies to exploit them before the public, Rahul now seems to be throwing a big challenge to Modi with his complete makeover mentally. The highlights of his speech in Lok Sabha yesterday are given below.
* ‘Your government is for the ‘rich people, a suit-boot ki sarkar’,” accused Rahul Gandhi.
* “‘Achhe din’ govt has failed the country on minimum support price andagriculture credit,” said Rahul Gandhi.
* Govt is ignoring farmers’ problems and not listening to labourers; the “govt is for industrialists and the rich,” added Rahul Gandhi.
* “How much area has been affected by un-seasonal rain? Why doesn’t the PM go and see for himself how much area has been affected?” questioned Rahul Gandhi.
* “‘Achhe din’ government has failed the country on minimum supportprice and agriculture credit. MSP is where it was, agriculture credit has not been improved, agricultural growth is 1%,” said Gandhi.
* Comparing the UPA government with that of the UPA, Rahul Gandhi said, “In our time, agriculture grew at a higher rate.”
* “India’s foundation is made up of farmers. If you believe that those corporates who drive in swanky cars are India’s foundation you are mistaken,” Rahul told Modi.
* “The land price is increasing very fast and your corporate friends want that land. That is why you are weakening the farmers and then you will hit them with the ordinance axe,” Rahul said.
