Sai's 'Rey' to Become Chiru's 'Punadirallu'?

'Punadirallu' was the first project accepted by Megastar Chiranjeevi. This movie could have become the debut movie of Chiranjeevi if it got released on time. However, due to delay in the shoot, the movie had to get released as the 7th movie of Chiranjeevi. And 'Pranam Khareedu' was credited as the debut movie of Chiranjeevi. 'Pranam Khareedu' was released on 22nd September, 1978 and 'Punadirallu' was released on 21st June, 1979. Both the movies showed decent performances at the box office.

Looks like mega nephew Sai Dharam Tej's debut movie 'Rey' turn to become 'Punadirallu' of Chiranjeevi. The movie's shoot was wrapped up long ago. The audio launch was also held grandeur with Power Star Pawan Kalyan as the chief guest. Unfortunately, the movie has stuck with financial troubles and the release has got delayed. On the other hand, Sai Dharam Tej's second movie 'Pilla Nuvvuleni Jeevitham' nears its completion. If 'Rey's release is postponed further, the movie surely gets the status of 'Punadirallu' of Chiranjeevi. It is upto the makers to realize and release the movie at the earliest.
