Debate: Injustice to Dhyan Chand Due to Sachin?

While the country cheers the announcement of Bharat Ratna to India's legendary batsman, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, there has been  a big debate if Sachin Tendulkar really deserves the India's highest civilian award. Some of the people are of the opinion that Wizard of Indian Hockey, Dhyan Chand should have been conferred the Bharat Ratna. Dhyan Chand, in fact, won three back to back gold medals in Olympics for India during the years, 1928,1932 and 1936. Considering his contribution to Hockey, he surely deserved to get Bharat Ratna award long ago. 

Meanwhile, the government is facing a sort of criticism that they announced the award to Sachin Tendulkar to get benefited for the next general elections, as they expect Tendulkar's fans would vote for the party. However, Tendulkar is the highest run scorer in one day and test cricket. He made highest number of centuries and half centuries in test and one day cricket. Above all he is a good human being. In short, Tendulkar must be given Bharat Ratna award. But, Dhyan Chand should have been given it first.
